Editing a Quote

This can be done, but avoid if at all possible. Step by Step Guide below.

Before you Create Line Items and Generate PDF you should ensure that all products, qty's, etc. are correct as much as possible. After you have pressed Create Line Items and Generate PDF it is then quite awkward to change the details. This can be done as seen below.

If you have generated the pdf but have not yet created a quote:

Go back into 'Add Line Items'

When you are back in here, either add your new line item, or delete the one you need to remove. If you need to edit a line item, you will need to remove it, then add it back correctly.

After this has been done, follow the standard steps you usually would: Select your PDF Format and Create Line Items and Generate PDF

After this has been done, refresh the deal page and you will have a new Quote URL.

After this, the line items that were left as they ere on your quote will have double up (Not on the PDF) so you have to remove them. This is done before you create your quote as seen below:

Go to Edit in Line Items

You then need to click on Actions and then Delete the item from there, then save.

You will then be asked if you want to update the deal amount or not. That is dependant on the deal at the time. Either way you will likely have to update the deal amount as it would not have been accurate if the line items were changed.

If you have generated the pdf and have also created a quote:

Follow the steps above and then delete the quote

Then proceed with standard procedure of creating a quote to send to a customer.
